It’s always funny when design worlds collide. When I saw the photos of these beautiful hand-woven pieces by artist Briana Babani, I instantly recognized the shoot location as the front porch of Alyson Fox’s house. We ran her home tour/makeover back in 2008 and when I saw that this was in Austin, I connected the dots. Briana is based in Austin, where she creates large-scale wall hangings by combining white paper raffia, wool yarn and a natural linen warp. I love the way that these piece look like piles of snow forming on rugs- it’s such a soft and subtle feel. Click here to check out more of Briana’s work online and view her work in detail. xo, grace
